About
Sister to Tettnanger A, Tettnanger B was also thought to be superior to its parent through heightened levels of alpha. Through US testing however, this is now in question. Bred in the 1970's through clonal selection from the original German Tettnanger hop, it features pleasant, continental-style aroma characteristics. It is also very likely descended from Czech variety, Saaz, a variety to which it is genetically similar.
