Many brewers have used this variety to try and replicate a noble Saaz type aroma and flavour. It has some similarities but does have a relatively stronger, heavier, slightly fruity American character.

Origin

Bred in 1990 and released in 1998, Sterling is one of the more delicate US varieties.
