About
Pioneer has a classic English aroma and mild-tempered bittering despite its very high cohumulone levels. It is considered more than suitable for use at any point in the brewing process.
Origin
Sister to the new English Herald hop and distantly related to Wye Yeoman. It combines a pleasant aroma with a moderately high (8-10%) alpha acid content.
